  • ANSWER YES! A moderate amount of exercise does not affect the amount or duration of your menstrual flow. In fact, it is usually helpful in relieving menstrual cramps. Since exercise is important for good health, it should be part of your daily routine. Extremely vigorous physical activity such as training to run a marathon may cause amenorrhoea, which is the absence of menstrual periods.
