  • ANSWER The most effective way of reducing or getting rid of your period pain is to exercise. Many women find it helpful to relax, to lie in a particular way (try different positions!) and/or to take non-prescription tablets that contain ibuprofen or paracetamol. If you’re in serious pain or if self-help doesn’t work, you should talk to your school nurse or a gynecologist.
